Community Participation

Our activities and programs at our day centre offer the opportunity to get social and access the community. It's a great way to meet new people especially those with similar interests.

It is also included in our Development-Life Skills programs where practical experience is required to complete everyday tasks i.e. food shopping or attending appointments in a community setting. This allows the opportunity to build relationships within the community and access networks of support.

Our community access support allows you to be actively involved in your local and wider community to also:

• Engage with others i.e. visit family and friends.
• Outings i.e. borrowing from the library or going to the movies.
• Take up a recreation i.e. swimming or join a fitness club.
• Go on a camp or holiday.
