Life skills are those that are necessary to manage everyday life. They can be educational and practical, behavioral and social, and those focused on personal care. Life skills are developed through continuous learning and practice, and can be attained at any stage of an individual's life. They can help people make informed decisions, solve problems, think creatively, engage with people and manage their lives in a healthy and productive manner.
Everyone already has a number of these skills but there are some areas that may need improvement. Our program on Development of Daily Living and Life Skills is aimed at building confidence and capacity to manage day-to-day life to increase their ability to live independently, engage with community and access networks of support.
We use both formal and informal, and self-learning platforms to deliver our programs to assist individuals in achieving their own personal goals and plans with NDIS. Our programs are designed to meet individual learning styles and preferences based on the VAK Learning Styles.
